The Blind Club made an early morning journey over to Bradford for the second time in two days to work with Leeds band 'Garnets' - formerly known as 'Little Parades'. Recording in a creaky old mill in Bradford, the band spent best part of a day getting the instrument and microphone placement just right for the audio recording. In true Blind Club style they prepared to capture the wonderful room sound as best they could.

Other Lives - 'For 12'

The Blind Club ventured to London to collaborate with Oklahoma based band - Other Lives.

Two days was spent filming a range of different songs, interviews and general clips of the band. What emerged is a strong body of work we are very proud of creating with such an inspirational group of musicians.

'For 12' was recorded in a single take on a bandstand in Shoreditch London. The band were rushing to load in for their album release appearance at Rough Trade East, and only had time for one run through, despite the request of 'one more' from one of the bystanders.

The Blind Club made an early morning journey over to Bradford, three consecutive days of production had begun. Day one saw The Blind Club capturing 'Pistola Kicks' - an exciting rock outfit with a pop streak from Sheffield.

The cold December light fills the ageing mill in this video, as Pistola Kicks record a previously unrecorded song exclusively for The Blind Club. Again a wonderful audio recording is captured by sound engineer Dan Worrall, which he has sprinkled subtly with a natural reverb of the fantastic space in his mix.

The Blind Club made an early morning journey over to Bradford, three consecutive days of production had begun. Day one saw The Blind Club capturing 'Pistola Kicks' - an exciting rock outfit with a pop streak from Sheffield.

Setting tight time restraints for recording, the band rattled through 'Head in the Sand' with an air of swagger, while the camera team tracked every move with a sense of urgency. What was created is a film that beautifully complements the tone of the song and the energy of the band's performance.

Paul Thomas Saunders is a dear friend of The Blind Club, and upon visiting Leeds mid-tour with The Staves we captured this intimate little pop-up in Jam Cafe in Headingley - a real treasure trove of a cafe, full of interesting furniture and nicknacks.

Paul sings a new song which will be released as part of his new EP - 'Descartes Highlands' - due for release early 2012.

The Blind Club were invited to film Dog Is Dead recording their live EP - 'Confessions' back in September. Recorded in a grand church in the bands home town of Nottingham, the band are lit with a glow of warm sunlight in the late autumn morning. The songs carry particular interest to the fans in this session as they are arranged acoustically and performed completely live.

Dog Is Dead - Young (Live at Splendour Music Festival)

The Blind Club were asked to document the performance of Dog Is Dead playing to their home town fans at the Nottingham music festival - Splendour. Playing in front of a packed out crowd, It was a special event in the bands quickly accelerating career.

Sending 6 cameras along with an equal number of operators the film produced is an interesting blend of TV broadcast style festival coverage and The Blind Club's own organic approach. The cameras on stage show no fear and get right up close with the performers, giving the viewer some extraordinary insights into the point of view of the band members.
